Hengqin became the pulse of youth cycling on December 10th as the 2023 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Cycling League (Hengqin Station) culminated in a thrilling race. This final stop of the league attracted over 1,000 cyclists eager to test their skills and compete for glory.

The event offered two exciting programs:

  • Cycling Experience Tour: A leisurely 28-kilometer journey perfect for enjoying the sights and sounds of Hengqin.
  • Cycling Challenge Tour: A more demanding 57-kilometer course designed to push cyclists to their limits.

Both routes took participants on a scenic journey through some of Hengqin’s most captivating attractions, including the vibrant Hengqin Flower Corridor, the serene Mangzhou Wetland Park, and the impressive Hengqin Rowing Park.

The organizers, embracing the theme of “cycling + tourism + exchange,” seamlessly integrated Hengqin’s unique tourism resources into the competition. This innovative approach allowed participants to experience the thrills of competition while appreciating the beauty of the host city.

By fostering a challenging and fun environment, the GBA Youth Cycling League aims to promote cycling as a healthy and enjoyable activity for young people while showcasing the vibrant spirit and picturesque landscapes of Hengqin. This successful event further strengthens the league’s reputation for creating memorable experiences that inspire passion for cycling and appreciation for the region’s rich cultural heritage.
